AN octogenarian, identified as Adebola Ezekiel and his wife, Abiodun Ezekiel, have been found murdered with their throats slit by unknown assailants in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja, Nigeria.
It was gathered that the bodies of the 80-year-old man and his wife were discovered around 11:00p.m on Monday in their apartment in the Apo area after their throats were slit open by the attackers.
The FCT police spokesperson, Josephine Adeh, confirmed the incident, saying investigation was ongoing to unravel those behind the horror.

The throats of the octogenarian, who was on a wheelchair, and that of his wife, Abiodun were slit open by their attackers with blood flooding the floor.
A source, who pleaded anonymity, said that one of the windows of the apartment was forced open when one of the sons of the couple called to say that his parents were not picking up his calls.
“One of the man’s sons called someone in the area to help him check on his parents who had not been picking his calls.
“The door was locked when the person got there, and the son ordered him to break the door to the house to find out what was happening.
“One of the windows was forced open and the remains of the deceased were found in the pool of blood,” the source said.
“The incident occurred on the 1st of April at about 10:00p.m , following a distress call by the Estate Manager of Zone D 1st Gate, Apo Legislative Quarters, to Apo Divisional Police Headquarters that one Seun Ezekiel, called to report that his parents who reside in the estate were not responding to their calls and with his permission, they brought down the window protector of the kitchen and gained access into the house only to discover the bodies of his parents: Adebola Ezekiel and Abiodun Ezekiel in the pool of their blood, with their throats slit by yet-to-be-identified persons.
“The Commissioner of Police visited the crime scene and ordered the Criminal Investigation Department to commence a discreet investigation immediately.
“The outcome of investigations will be communicated in due course.”
