A 19-year-old, Timilehin Faith Opesusi, has reportedly ended it all after receiving a poor score in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

Reports indicate that Timilehin, a resident of Ikorodu, Lagos State, was among the 1.9 million candidates who took part in the exam.

“She ended it all at Odogunyan, Ikorodu, Lagos State on Monday after scoring 190 over 400,” a neighbour told our source.

The teenager, originally from Abeokuta, had been living with her elder sister in Ikorodu.

According to reports, Timilehin was a calm and respectful young woman with high academic hopes.

She had applied to study Microbiology and was deeply disappointed by her score of 190, which she considered lower than her 2024 result.

After consuming a substance commonly referred to as Push Out—a rodenticide—Timilehin is said to have visited her sister’s workplace and requested palm oil to counteract the poison’s effects.

Her sister, unaware of the situation, initially dismissed the request. However, when Timilehin’s condition rapidly deteriorated, her sister raised the alarm, drawing the attention of nearby residents.

A witness reported that on the way to the hospital, Timilehin admitted she had ingested the poison at home before heading to her sister’s office.

Despite efforts to revive her, medical staff at Kolak Hospital in Odogunyan declared her d€ad.

Tragically, just 30 minutes after her passing, an email notification from JAMB granting her provisional admission appeared in her Gmail inbox.

In the aftermath, her heartbroken parents traveled from Abeokuta to reclaim her remains and proceed with her burial.
