Some chiefs in Ibadanland, on Monday, gathered at the home of the Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland, Chief Lekan Balogun, for a meeting.
All things being equal, Senator Balogun is expected to be enthroned as the new Olubadan of Ibadan following the passing of the 41st Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Saliu Adetunji, on Sunday.
The chiefs reportedly met at the Ali Iwo home of High Chief Balogun on Monday afternoon.
Those at the meeting included the Osi Balogun of Ibadanland, High Chief Abdulateef Gbadamosi Adebimpe; the Balogun of Ibadanland, High Chief Owolabi Olakuleyin; the Asipa Olubadan, High Chief Eddy Oyewole and the Ekarun Olubadan, High Chief Amidu Ajibade, among others.
Feelers have it that the meeting, which was held behind closed doors, bordered on the next line of action following the passing of the former monarch.
