By IN a renewed effort to bolster intelligence-led policing as a cornerstone of internal security management, the 22nd Indigenous Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D., NPM, on Thursday inspected state-of-the-art intelligence installations at Idu Community in Abuja.
The visit formed part of the Nigeria Police Force’s strategic engagement with indigenous security experts, notably EIB STRATOC, a homegrown security solutions provider, as part of plans to strengthen collaboration and enhance the nation’s security architecture.
Accompanied by DIG Ben Nebeolisa Okolo, fdc (Force Intelligence Department), DIG Adebowale Williams, fdc (ICT), AIG Adeleke Taiwo (Department of Operations), CP Felix Obe (Federal Operations), and other senior officers, the IGP stressed that intelligence gathering remains the bedrock of effective policing in the 21st century. He reaffirmed that the Force, under his leadership, is committed to harnessing technology, innovation, and both indigenous and foreign expertise to stay ahead of emerging threats.
He further assured that the partnership will not only boost the operational capacity of the Police Force but also deepen community trust and strengthen synergy with critical stakeholders in the security sector.
Commending the expertise of EIB STRATOC, the Inspector-General reiterated his dedication to deploying cutting-edge technology in policing Nigeria, and urged other security experts and citizens to collaborate with the Police and sister security agencies in advancing technology-driven intelligence gathering for a more secure nation.
