NUJ Celebrates Ikeogwu’s Appointment As Senior Media Aide

THE Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Warri Correspondents’ Chapel, has expressed delight at the appointment of Comrade Michael Ikeogwu as Senior Special Assistant on Media to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State.

In a statement signed by the Chapel’s Chairman, Victor Okpomor, and Secretary, Edeki Igafe, the union described the appointment as well-deserved, citing Ikeogwu’s extensive experience in journalism and his leadership roles within the NUJ.

“The news of your appointment did not come as a surprise,” the statement read.

“Indeed, you deserve it. We urge you to bring your wealth of experience from the pen profession and your NUJ leadership to bear in advancing the development of Delta State.”

The NUJ Warri Correspondents’ Chapel pledged its unwavering support and cooperation to Ikeogwu in his new role.

The union also extended its gratitude to Governor Oborevwori for recognising one of their own with the prestigious appointment.

The statement further acknowledged the divine privilege of serving in such a capacity, offering prayers for Ikeogwu’s strength and wisdom to carry out his duties effectively.

The union also expressed optimism for Ikeogwu’s future career advancements.

Reiterating their commitment to the state’s progress, the NUJ assured the Delta State Government of their continued collaboration and support in fostering development.
