Issa Naigheti, who was arrested by the anti-kidnapping team of Kwara State Police Command, for allegedly masterminding the kidnap of his father, has confessed to how he conspired with two others to carry out the operation.
Kwara State police spokesman, SP Okasanmi Ajayi, confirmed this to reporters on Friday 6th of January, adding that the suspect was arrested on Wednesday 4th, around Kambi area of the state’s capital, Ilorin, while police operatives were on the trail of suspected kidnappers.

During interrogation, according to the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Naigheti confessed to conspiring with his syndicate members who are still at large, to kidnap his father, Bature Naigboho, in Igboho/Igbeti area of Oyo State, after which they shared the N2.5million collected as ransom.
“Efforts are ongoing to arrest his other accomplices, and the case will be transferred to Oyo State where the crime was committed,” SP Ajayi said
