TWO persons were reportedly killed, and a girl was injured after the hot air balloon they were riding in caught fire near Mexico City.
According to officials in the state on Saturday, the girl suffered burns and a broken arm.
Stonix News gathered that the accident occurs near the pre-Hispanic ruin site of Teotihuacan, north of Mexico City: a popular location for balloon rides.
In a viral video of the incident posted on social media, the occupants of the balloon appeared to have fallen or jumped from the craft.
Officials confirmed to newsmen that the two victims who lost their lives were adults: a man, 50, and a 38-year-old woman, names withheld.
The cause of the accident, as of when filing this report, was under investigation
