FOUR people were reportedly injured at a water park in American Dream mall, New Jersey, after a decorative helicopter structure fell from the ceiling and landed in a pool below.
Stonix News learnt the incident occurred at approximately 3 p.m. on Sunday.
According to New Jersey State Police, the decorative helicopter had been suspended from the ceiling and was believed to have somehow detached before falling into the pool.
No fewer than four people suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
One of the injured visitors was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, while the other three, with minor injuries, were treated at the scene.
During a statement on Sunday evening, the American Dream mall confirmed the incident, adding that the safety of guests is its highest priority.
“We are conducting a thorough investigation into this incident to ensure the Park meets all safety regulations as required.
“The safety of our guests is our highest priority.”
