Speaking at the inauguration of the ADC’s state secretariat in Jalingo, the former PDP presidential candidate asserted that the ADC is the only party capable of rescuing Nigeria from its current hardships under the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

“The ADC remains the only party to salvage Nigerians from their current predicaments,” Atiku stated. “It will defeat other political parties outrightly in the 2027 general elections.”

He issued a direct appeal to supporters, urging them to ensure they are registered to vote. “Without registering and obtaining their cards to exercise their franchise,” he cautioned, “their efforts and determination to change the government in 2027 will be in vain.”

The former Vice President levelled strong criticism at the present administration, accusing it of failing to improve the lives of citizens.

“It is unfortunate that the present government deceived you and plunged the country into a lack of peace, hunger, poverty, and joblessness,” he said. According to Atiku, the APC has delivered “nothing to the people, except poverty and insecurity,” and he called on the electorate to vote for leaders who would make a meaningful difference.

Atiku was accompanied by party faithful from Adamawa, Bauchi, and Kano States, signalling a coordinated effort to build support in the region.

Echoing his confidence, the Taraba State ADC Chairman, Hassan Adamu, assured the audience that the party would secure victory in the state. “In 2027, a new government will be formed, where we will deliver the state to ADC and Atiku,” Adamu said.

The event also saw the inauguration of the state’s transition committee, chaired by Senator Abubakar Tutare, with Barr. Haruna Kwetishe serving as Secretary.
