Fire, on Monday, engulfed the premises of Fenog Nigeria Ltd, an Engineering company located in Effurun, near Warri, Delta State, destroying property worth millions of naira.
No human casualty has been reported in the inferno at the company located opposite Bright Hope Junction, Airport Road, Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area of the state.
Stonix News gathered that the fire broke out at about 9:00a.m as residents, including bank workers in nearby buildings, reportedly scampered to safety.
The fire, it was gathered, broke out from the yard of the company which engages in engineering, procurement and construction in the oil and gas sector.
Staff of nearby Amju Micro-Finance Bank to the firm reportedly hurried to evacuate their handy property as the fire attempted to spread to other buildings.
Some oil and gas equipment worth millions of naira were reportedly destroyed in the inferno, just as the cause has not been ascertained.
Fire fighters from the state Fire Service were prompt to arrive at the yard and battled the inferno to a standstill.
As of the time the fire was eventually put out, equipment, including two tankers worth millions of naira, had been consumed in the inferno.
The Managing Director of the firm, Matthew Tonlagha, and some of his workers, did not comment on the incident.
