AN intending couple, Mba Ifeoma Gloria and Eremezie Tochukwu Martin, who were planning to wed on January 18, 2023, have been killed by yet-to-be-identified gunmen.
The killing took place on Wednesday at Arondizuogu in the Ideato North Local Government Area of Imo State. This came eight days to their traditional wedding.
They were said to be taking a ride in the groom’s brother’s tricycle when some gunmen attacked them, killing the driver and the couple.
Angry residents of the community were said to have stormed the streets to place curses on perpetrators of killings and kidnappings on Wednesday.

The gunmen, residents also said, have been invading the community to snatch flashy cars at gunpoint.
No police response has followed the tragedy yet.
