THE father of superstar Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated.
According to a booking report from Saturday, Patrick Mahomes Sr. was charged with a DWI and booked at Smith County Jail in Tyler, Texas.
Jail records showed that 53-year-old Mahomes Sr. was released Sunday, after which he posted a $10,000 surety bond.
Representative for the elder Mahomes did not respond to a request from our source, NBC News, for comment.
Recall that Mahomes Sr. had been previously arrested on a DWI charge in 2018; he was sentenced to 40 days of jail time that would be served on weekends the following year.
Mahomes Sr. was a pitcher in the Major League for 11 seasons; he spent the first half of his career with the Minnesota Twins before bouncing around with other teams.
