A man has been charged for chewing off the right ear of a 78-year-old man on a light-train platform near Portland, Oregon.
According to a prosecutor who revealed this to journalists during the weekend, Koryn Daniel Kraemer was charged with second-degree assault in Multnomah County District Court, on Wednesday 4th of January.
Stonix News gathered that around 2 a.m (UK time) on Tuesday 3rd, police responded to a distress call from an eyewitness, informing them of the attack on the 78-year-old man, whose name was withheld.
When officers got to the scene, they met the old man in a pool of his own blood; his right ear, chopped off and part of his skull was visible.
He was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment, while the attacker was arrested.
During investigations, Kraemer, 25, told detectives he thought the victim was a robot trying to kill him, after which he entered a not-guilty plea to the charge.
Kraemer also confessed to consuming alcohol, fentanyl pills and marijuana before the attack.
