By Micheal Chukwuebuka

A plane crash occurred in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, on Saturday afternoon, resulting in the loss of all lives on board and a massive fire.

The exact number of people on the plane remains unclear, according to Brooklyn Park Fire Chief Shawn Conway, who addressed the media on Saturday.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the crash.

Fortunately, all occupants of the home that the plane crashed into escaped safely, although it’s unclear whether they left before or after the impact.

The plane, identified as a SOCATA TBM7, took off from Des Moines International Airport in Iowa and was headed to Anoka County-Blaine Airport in Minneapolis when it crashed at around 12:20 p.m. local time.

Videos posted on social media show the aftermath of the crash, with a home engulfed in flames and large plumes of smoke rising into the air.

Firefighters were quick to respond, with at least three crews hosing down the burning home.

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has taken the lead in investigating the crash, with assistance from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

Investigators are expected to arrive at the crash site on Sunday, where they will assess the scene, evaluate the plane, and collect relevant records, including flight track data and air traffic control communications.

The investigation will focus on the pilot, the aircraft, and the operating environment.
