TWO officers of Detroit Police Department were found dead inside a home on Sunday 19th.
According to the city’s police chief, officers responded to a well-being check near Farmington, 6 Mile road in suburban Livonia, few miles from Detroit, at around 12:30 p.m.
When officers entered the home, they found two adults: a woman, 22, and a 26-year-old man dead from gunshot wounds.
Detroit Police Department Chief, James E. White, confirmed the two people killed were officers in his department.
“It is a sad day for our department,” White lamented while addressing newsmen on Sunday.
Stonix News learnt that a baby was inside the home during the shooting but was not harmed.
The baby, as of the time of filing this report, is in the care of a family member.
Reports are suggesting that the shooting was related to a domestic dispute between the deceased.
