By PERHAPS owing to the hardship pervading oil-rich, but mismanaged Nigeria, a housewife has reportedly clubbed her 15-year-old son to death over missing paltry N200.
The ugly incident occurred at Obire Street, off Cemetery Road, Warri, Delta State, on Thursday 2nd January, 2025.

Sources, who confirmed the incident, alleged that the eldest son of the woman assisted the mother in clubbing the boy to death.
According to the witnesses some of whom are neighbours, the hands and legs of the boy were tied while his body was pierced with a hot knife from a burning fire behind closed doors.
The sources said efforts by neighbours to rescue the boy from the cruelty of his mother and brother were unsuccessful.
”When she realised that her son was dying, she ran out and cried for assistance which she got.
“But unfortunately before they arrived at Warri Central Hospital, her son had died,” a source further narrated.

It was gathered that the victim, before his death, hawked smoked fish for the mother and that he was also an apprentice at a phone repair centre.
Amid further details on the incident according to Actual News, the remains of the boy have been preserved at the mogue of the Central Hospital, Warri.
As of the time of filing the report, it could not be ascertained if the incident had got to the desk of the nearby police division.
