TWO people were killed and nearly 70 others were injured on Friday after a vehicle drove into a large crowd at a Christmas market in Magdeburg, Germany.
Stonix News reliably gathered from a source that German authorities are treating the incident as terrorism.

According to the Prime Minister of Saxony-Anhalt, Reiner Haseloff, the killed victims include a young toddler and an adult.
Among those injured, at least 15 were in critical conditions, Stonix News further gathered.

As of late Friday, a German security official said people were still arriving at the hospital for treatment.
A suspect has been arrested in the attack that sent shoppers fleeing in panic, ABC13 has reported.

Health officials attending to individuals with minor injuries
Prime Minister of Saxony-Anhalt Reiner Haseloff said the suspect is a doctor from Saudi Arabia who has lived in Germany since 2006, adding that a rental car was used in the attack.
The motive behind that attack was unknown at this time of filing this report.
Extensive police operations are underway at the Magdeburg Christmas market, which is now closed, local police said.

“My thoughts are with the victims and their families.
“We stand by their side and by the side of the people of Magdeburg. My thanks go to the dedicated rescue workers in these anxious hours,” German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said.
