ALL roads lead to Uga in the Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State on 15 January 2025, where roughly 3,000 Christian clerics from across the state will convene for a significant covenant renewal gathering.
The event is being organised by clergy operating under the umbrella of the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), in collaboration with the Biafra Independence Movement (BIM).
Participants are expected to include bishops, prophets, prophetesses, pastors, deacons, deaconesses, and other men and women of God representing various Christian denominations.
Speaking to journalists in Nnewi on Tuesday, the Anambra South Senatorial Zone leader of the group, Apostle Chukwuemeka Akunne, stated the meeting was organised to express gratitude to God for answered prayers, divine mercy, and spiritual guidance.
According to him, the event has become an annual tradition to thank God for what he described as significant and defining moments in their collective spiritual journey.
Akunne said, “We are at the brink of crossing over. God has answered our prayers, and it is only right that we return all the glory to Him.”
“The gathering will serve as a period of thanksgiving, deep spiritual reflection, and renewed commitment to God, as we believe we are entering a new phase characterised by divine intervention and the fulfilment of long-standing prayers.”
On his part, the Director of the Ihiala Legion and current Administrator of Area 3, Apostle Cyril Ohanebo, said the programme would be dedicated to communion with God, prayers, and thanksgiving for the future.
He explained that the clerics would use the occasion to appreciate God and celebrate what he described as divinely ordained better days ahead.
Ohanebo added, “God has appointed a time to liberate his people, just as he delivered the Israelites. This gathering is meant to acknowledge Him and prepare ourselves spiritually for what lies ahead.”

The organisers expressed confidence that the event would be peaceful, orderly, and spiritually uplifting.
They urged all participants to maintain unity, discipline, and a spirit of brotherhood throughout the programme.
