SUSPECTED bandits, on Saturday, killed four farmers and abducted eight others from Nahuta village in Batsari Local Government Area of Katsina State.
The state’s Police Spokesperson, ASP Abubakar Sadiq-Aliyu, during a press conference on Sunday, confirmed the attack.
The farmers, according to Sadiq-Aliyu, were harvesting their crops when the bandits struck.
He also added that one of the farmers who escaped had gunshot wounds and is being treated in an undisclosed hospital.
“The suspected bandits attacked the farmers, opened fire on them thereby killing four and injuring one.
“They also abducted eight others,” Aliyu said.
