Victor Osimhen On Real Madrid’s Radar As Mourinho Eyes Summer Swoop — Reports

GALATASARAY striker Victor Osimhen has emerged as a prime transfer target for Real Madrid ahead of the summer window, according to Soccernet.

The LaLiga giants are understood to be closing in on the appointment of José Mourinho as their next manager, with the Portuguese tactician already identifying the Super Eagles talisman as his preferred option to lead the line.

Mourinho has long admired Osimhen, dating back to their time together in Serie A when the former Chelsea and Manchester United boss managed AS Roma, while Osimhen was at Napoli.

The 63-year-old has previously drawn comparisons between the Nigerian striker and Ivorian legend Didier Drogba, whom Mourinho famously brought to Chelsea.

The potential arrival of the 27-year-old forward would allow Kylian Mbappé and Vinícius Júnior to return permanently to their most dangerous roles out wide, freeing up the central striking position for Osimhen.

Osimhen, currently on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli, has continued to impress in Turkey, keeping his name firmly in the conversation among Europe’s elite clubs.

Neither Real Madrid nor Mourinho’s representatives have commented publicly on the speculation.

The development comes as Mourinho reportedly finalises terms with the Bernabéu hierarchy, with an official announcement expected in the coming weeks.
