SOME lawyers, under the umbrella of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA ) on Wednesday, threw caution and decency to the wind, looting and destroying conference materials at the ongoing conference in Lagos.
Stonix News reports that the ongoing Annual General Conference, which started on Monday with the attendance of top presidential candidates ahead of the 2023 general elections, is holding at Eko Atlantic City, Lagos.
It was gathered that the enraged lawyers staged a violent protest over their inability to access the conference bags and materials three days after the commencement of the conference.
A source said it appeared some of the conference materials were allegedly being hoarded by those in charge of them.
Reports say the angry lawyers overpowered the security officials and bouncers manning the conference material collection booths and destroyed the properties.
Sources said the lawyers also looted the remaining conference materials to the chagrin of the organisers.
Some of the virulent lawyers were sighted making do with charred conference materials and property amid a rowdy ambience in a video footage obtained by Stonix News .
