THE Federal Government has announced that replacement works on the expansion joint at Kara Bridge will commence on Tuesday, 28th July 2026.
According to a directive from the Honourable Minister of Works, the contractor, CBC GLOBAL CIVIL & CONSTRUCTION COY., has been mobilised to begin the essential repair work immediately.
The announcement was made by Engr. Richard Adeleye, Acting Federal Controller for Ogun State, who called on the public to cooperate and exercise patience during the construction period.
Motorists and commuters plying the route have been urged to anticipate possible traffic disruptions and make necessary adjustments to their travel plans.
The Federal Controller’s office has requested assistance in sensitising the public to ensure smooth implementation of the project.
Further details regarding traffic diversion routes and alternative arrangements are expected to be released in due course.
Members of the public are advised to stay informed through official channels and adhere to safety guidelines provided by traffic authorities and construction personnel on site.
