In a statement issued by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, Magdalene Ajani, the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, congratulated Muslims in Nigeria and across the diaspora on the occasion.

Tunji-Ojo described Eid-ul-Adha as a significant Islamic festival that symbolises sacrifice, obedience, faith, and compassion, urging Nigerians to embrace the values the celebration represents.

The minister also called on citizens to use the festive period to pray for lasting peace, improved security, and national prosperity.

He further appealed for unity, peaceful coexistence, and sober reflection among Nigerians as Muslims across the country mark the religious celebration.
