Fulfillment, As Delta Journalist Walks Down The Aisle With Sweetheart

IT was a roll call of grandeur, pomp, conviviality and utmost fulfillment as former Miss Success Okuchemiya, a vivacious Delta-based journalist, walked down the aisle, in line with the Urhobo custom and tradition, with her sweetheart, Mr. Quincy Oghenechoja Ose at Ekete community, Udu Local Government Area of Delta State, last weekend.

Amid the clement and benevolent weather in spite of the rainy season, the all-smiling and gorgeously adorned bride expressed her gratitude to God for making the day a glorious reality. “I’m grateful to God, the lifter up of my head,” she acknowledged.

Stonix News recalled that the traditional wedding was earlier preceded by a registry transaction which was held some weeks ago in the presence of parents and families of both couples.

Awed by the success of the last Saturday traditional wedding where her pride price was formally and fully paid by her husband in line with the Urhobo custom and tradition, Success itemised the reasons she went for cute Quincy among other suitors: “I simply chose love, I chose focus. I believe in him.

“He has skills that I see in him that can help both of us to achieve greater heights together.”

Mrs Ose would not forget to lend some pieces of advice to some ladies who’re still on the waiting list, admonishing that: “Delay is not denial. Just have faith in God.”

The lucky groom, Mr. Quincy Oghenechoja Ose, who’s truly favoured to have a humble, forthright, industrious and vivacious lady as a wife, dropped his lines about his hearthrob. “She’s everything to me,” he blushed glowingly, adding: “Bachelors should go and look for their better partners.”

Among groups, which graced the traditional wedding of the couple, were members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Warri Correspondents’ Chapel led by Comrade Okies Veekies.

Speaking on behalf of other members, Veekies admonished the couple to eschew third-party intrusion in their union.

“Don’t allow a third-party to come between you. Don’t make their judgements or observations make you have other thoughts about your husband.

“Remember it’s just the two of you in the marriage. Both of you left your parents and joined together to be one and that oneness must subsist under God.

“Hold God very dearly. I wish you all the best that she wished themselves. The bride’s name is Success, so as her name denotes, she’d succeed.

“I wish her all the best – good health, long life, prosperity and the number of children they intend to have in Jesus’s Name,” he prayed.

Some other dignitaries also advised the couple to build their home on “honesty and good communication,” as they embark on the infinite school of marriage.

Stonix News reports that the newlywed couple, Mr and Mrs Oghenechoja Ose, treated guests to a grand reception as well as sumptuous meals and Urhobo and Isoko vibes.

In expression of joy unspeakable, the couple, clad in luscious army green and resplendent gold colour attires, paced to the royal reception ground in dexterous dance steps, as families and well-wishers milled around them in utmost filial affection and camaraderie.

The colourful ceremony also featured a special dance performance by the youths forum of the St. Jude Catholic Church, Effurun, to celebrate the couple and, in a way, bid their member, Mrs Ose, farewell to her matrimonial home.

Other establishments, which attended the traditional wedding ceremony, were representatives of the Department of Mass Communication, Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, staff of the Federal Polytechnic, Orogun ( FEDPO ), members of the Church of God Mission; Church of Christ, as well as St. Jude Catholic Church, Effurun.
