Delta Activist Picks Up NDC Expression Of Interest Form For Warri Federal Constituency

A renowned peace and development advocate, Comrade Sheriff Mulade, PhD, has formally collected his Expression of Interest Form for the Warri Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives from the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).

The Niger Delta environmental rights activist, widely recognised for his development advocacy, expressed confidence in securing victory at the general election scheduled for February 2027, in line with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

“I am very happy today for making it possible and I dedicate the form to God Almighty and humanity,” Dr Sheriff said.

The Ibe-Sorimowei of the oil-rich Gbaramatu Kingdom in Delta State extended his deep appreciation to the national leadership of the NDC, particularly His Excellency, Senator Henry Seriake Dickson, for granting him the opportunity to serve Nigerians – and especially his constituents in Warri Federal Constituency, which comprises the Itsekiri, Ijaw and Urhobo ethnic nationalities.

“I am the right man for the job at the moment,” Dr Mulade asserted. “I represent peace, unity, development and inclusive people representation, devoid of ethnic sentiment and segregation.”

The peace advocate vowed to uphold and promote peaceful coexistence, development and progress among the various ethnic groups within the constituency.

“I promise to work closely with the revered traditional rulers, stakeholders and political leaders of the constituency to ensure sustainable peace that would attract the desired attention of development to the ancient Warri city and environs – the commercial nerve centre of Delta State and Nigeria at large – through inclusive advocacy, constructive engagement and dialogue for progress,” he emphasised.

Dr Mulade, who holds a doctorate and has long campaigned for environmental justice in the Niger Delta, said his candidacy represents a new chapter of inclusive leadership for one of Delta State’s most strategically important federal constituencies.
