THE Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has published results for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) mop-up exercise, signalling the completion of this year’s examination process.
Candidates who sat for the supplementary test can now access their scores through the Board’s approved result-checking platforms, according to JAMB spokesperson Fabian Benjamin.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, Benjamin confirmed that the release of the mop-up results marks the conclusion of the examination phase, paving the way for the next stage of admissions.

“With the successful conduct of the mop-up exercise and the publication of the results, the Board will proceed with the ranking of candidates,” he said.
The printing of result slips required for admission processing is expected to commence before the end of the week.
The Board expressed gratitude to candidates, parents, and other stakeholders for their understanding and cooperation throughout the examination period.
Mop-Up Exercise Details
The supplementary examination was conducted on June 13, 2026, to accommodate candidates who were successfully verified during the main UTME but were unable to sit for the test due to technical challenges, biometric verification problems, or other disruptions at their examination centres.
The main 2026 UTME was held in April, with more than two million candidates participating nationwide.
Next Steps for Candidates
JAMB has already released the main results, retained the minimum admission cut-off marks at 150 for universities and 100 for polytechnics, and opened its portal for candidates seeking to change their course or institution.
With the ranking process now set to begin, prospective students are advised to check their results promptly and ensure all admission requirements are in order ahead of the next phase of the admissions cycle.
