NIGERIA LNG Limited (NLNG) has been honoured with the Energy Awards 2026 Operational Excellence Award at the 25th anniversary edition of NOG Energy Week, in recognition of its commitment to safe, reliable and efficient operations.
The award was presented on July 9, 2026, at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja, during one of Africa’s premier energy gatherings that brought together policymakers, regulators, industry leaders, investors and technology providers.
NLNG’s Manager of Corporate Communications and Public Affairs, Anne-Marie Palmer-Ikuku, in a statement issued in Port Harcourt, said the award recognises organisations that demonstrate outstanding operational performance through process optimisation, enhanced reliability, improved efficiency, cost effectiveness and sustainable business practices.
“NLNG’s recognition reaffirms the company’s commitment to operational discipline and world-class asset management that continue to set benchmarks across Nigeria’s energy industry,” she said.

NLNG maintained a strong presence throughout the conference and exhibition, participating in strategic discussions on gas development, sustainability, innovation and Nigeria’s role in strengthening global energy security. The company said its participation reflected a continued commitment to collaboration and advancing solutions that support a resilient, competitive and sustainable energy industry.
The award also highlights the dedication and professionalism of NLNG’s workforce, whose commitment has enabled the company to consistently deliver reliable LNG to global markets while supporting domestic gas utilisation. The firm noted that its contributions through local content, revenue generation and strategic investments have continued to support Nigeria’s economic development.

As NLNG advances its strategic growth initiatives, including the Train 7 Project, the recognition further reinforces the company’s resolve to remain a leading global LNG company and to support Nigeria’s aspiration to harness its abundant natural gas resources for economic growth, industrialisation and a sustainable energy future.
