A distinguished officer of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Comptroller of Immigration Service (CIS) Olufunke ModupeoreOluwa Mofikoya, is set to bow out of active service after a remarkable career spanning over three decades in the Federal Government.
According to invitation stickers made available to Stonix News, a Retirement Party themed “Celebration of God’s Mercy & Grace” will hold on Saturday, 1 August 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Hayinke Hub, Kuola, Akala Expressway, Ibadan, Oyo State.
The event is expected to attract family members, friends, colleagues, associates and well-wishers who will gather to celebrate her years of dedicated service and contributions to national security.
Born in Ilesa, Osun State, to Chief and Mrs Àjàyí, Mofikoya had her primary and secondary education across Ilesa, Lagos, Kaduna and Katsina before proceeding to the University of Ibadan, where she obtained her Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral degrees.

A professional Behavioural Psychologist, she joined the Nigeria Immigration Service in 1991, beginning what would become a distinguished career in public service.
During her years in the Service, she participated in numerous professional training programmes both within Nigeria and abroad.
Among her notable achievements was specialised training under INTERPOL, which culminated in her becoming the first INTERPOL Presenter and Instructor, a milestone that underscored her expertise in security training and international law enforcement collaboration.
Following her illustrious career, Mofikoya has continued to make contributions as a Security Consultant and is a Fellow of Global Peace and Conflict Management.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, she is widely known for her Christian faith, describing herself as “a daughter of Zion” who remains steadfast in her commitment to Jesus Christ and the advancement of God’s kingdom.
Her retirement celebration is expected to serve not only as a thanksgiving for God’s grace throughout her career but also as a recognition of her legacy of professionalism, leadership and service to Nigeria.
