NIGERIA international goalkeeper Comfort Erhabor has completed a two-year switch to Women’s Super League side Crystal Palace, the club announced late Thursday.
The 21-year-old shot-stopper joins the Eagles from Portsmouth, where she had signed in July 2025 and went on to make six appearances across all competitions.
“It feels really good to be here. I’m very excited to get started,” Erhabor told the club’s official website. “I’m aspiring to play at the highest level, so this is a really big step in my career.”
Rising Through the Ranks
Erhabor began her football journey at the Brighton & Hove Albion Academy before embarking on loan spells at Hibernian and Plymouth Argyle to gain valuable first-team experience.
Born in the Netherlands and raised in England, the goalkeeper made the pivotal decision to represent Nigeria on the international stage. She earned her maiden Super Falcons cap in February 2026 during a friendly against Cameroon.
Despite being named in the squad for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, Erhabor did not feature as the 10-time African champions suffered a quarter-final exit at the hands of eventual winners Cameroon.
Manager’s Verdict
Crystal Palace team manager Jo Potter expressed her delight at securing the Nigerian’s services.
“Comfort is a promising young goalkeeper, and we are thrilled to have her here at Palace,” Potter said.
Nigerian Contingent Growing
Erhabor becomes the latest Super Falcons star to ply her trade in England, following defender Rofiat Imuran’s recent transfer to Aston Villa Women for the 2026/27 season.
The 22-year-old Imuran joined Villa from London City Lionesses, adding another chapter to a career that began with Stade de Reims in France.
Looking Ahead
With the Women’s Super League season underway, Erhabor will be eager to establish herself at Selhurst Park and continue her development at one of English football’s most historic clubs.
The Nigerian contingent in England’s top flight continues to grow, reflecting the Super Falcons’ status as a powerhouse of African women’s football.
