THE Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has confirmed the crash of one of its aircraft in Igbokoda, Ondo State.
The aircraft, an ATR-42, was reportedly on a routine mission from Benin to Lagos when the incident occurred on Monday.
A total of 32 people were on board the aircraft, comprising 25 passengers and seven crew members, according to the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo.
The circumstances surrounding the crash were not immediately clear as at the time of filing this report.
The NAF said search-and-rescue operations were ongoing, with relevant authorities working to locate and assist those involved in the incident.
