IBADAN – The Oyo State Government has demolished a three-bedroom bungalow allegedly used as a hideout by kidnappers who abducted the younger sister of former Minister of Power, Chief Bayo Adelabu, and her two children.
The demolition took place on Monday in the Lako Community, off Aiyegun-Anaye Road, Ibadan.

Officials from the Oyo State Ministry of Public Works and Transportation carried out the exercise, accompanied by officers of the Nigeria Police Force.

The victims, Mrs Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul and her 12-year-old twin sons, Peter and Paul, were abducted from Elewura in the Challenge area of Ibadan on Wednesday, 3 June 2026.

In a statement, the state government said the action underscored its commitment to tackling insecurity and dismantling criminal networks operating within Oyo State.

“This demolition sends a clear message that we will not tolerate the use of any property for criminal purposes,” a government spokesperson added.

Some names mentioned as suspects so far include: one “Oloro”, Dare Oyedele, alias “Solution”, KELECHI, Semiu and Adeyemi.
