A lady has shared her experience living with vitiligo, revealing that her former boyfriend ended their relationship after she was diagnosed with the skin condition.
She said the first signs appeared in 2024, with patches on her scalp and face, which she initially mistook for an injury and a reaction to makeup before a dermatologist confirmed it was vitiligo.
According to her, she began treatment and saw some improvement, but emotional stress later caused the condition to spread, making the medication less effective. She added that she eventually stopped the treatment after seeing little progress.
She also spoke about the misconceptions surrounding vitiligo, saying many people wrongly believed it was caused by spiritual causes or an abomination.
