ISABEL Idibia, daughter of Nigerian music legend Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, and actress Annie Idibia, has revealed that her parents’ separation has affected her emotionally.
2Baba announced his separation from Annie in February 2025 and subsequently married Natasha Osawaru, an Edo State lawmaker.
Isabel made the disclosure during an interview with Yanga FM on Friday, while responding to questions about the impact of her parents’ separation on her.
Asked in Pidgin English whether the separation had affected her, Isabel replied: “I mean obviously yes, but things are getting better day by day.”
She, however, indicated that she was gradually adjusting to the situation and that things were improving.
Meanwhile, Nigerian comedian and filmmaker Ayo Makun, popularly known as AY, has spoken about the possibility of 2Baba’s marriage to Natasha Osawaru ending.
AY made the remarks at Daddy Showkey’s 50 years on stage concert in Lagos.
The comedian revealed that 2Baba was previously his neighbour before his relationship with Natasha.
According to AY, Natasha subsequently relocated 2Baba to Edo State and Abuja.
In a light-hearted exchange, AY also joked about 2Baba’s reported marital difficulties with Natasha, hinting at the possibility of the singer returning to singlehood if the marriage eventually ends.
The remarks have added to public interest surrounding the singer’s personal life, while Isabel’s comments highlight the impact of her parents’ separation on their daughter.
