A Bayelsa man, Oruebi Raymond Oyinmiebi, has performed a traditional ceremony to marry Bini-Ebi, a revered Ijaw marine deity known as the Queen of Wealth and Mother of Love.
Mr Oyinmiebi carried out the ceremony at a river on Thursday, 17 September 2026.
Taking to Facebook, he shared photographs from the event, saying his forefathers and generations before him had drunk from the same river.
According to Mr Oyinmiebi, he presented traditional offerings and prayed for blessings, protection, good health, long life, prosperity and peace in his home.
Friends and well-wishers have since flooded his social media page with congratulatory messages for him and his deity “wife”.
Stonix News could not independently ascertain if the deity lover was already married with children as of the time of filing the report.
