Oghenejabor Ikimi Buries Wife In Sapele

A united expression of grief and celebration will mark the funeral of Mrs Hope Ogheneroborhien Ikimi, wife of ace human rights lawyer, Oghenejabor Ikimi Esq. and beloved matriarch of the Ikimi and Eyesonetan families, who passed at the age of 59.

Mrs Ikimi, wife, mother, aunty, sister and niece, will be laid to rest in her father’s compound at No. 56A Commercial Avenue, Sapele, Delta State, following a two-day ceremony next month.

The late Mrs Ikimi, who was born into the Eyesonetan family of Amukpe, Sapele, and married into the Ikimi family of Effurun-Otor, Ughelli South, is being remembered by relatives as a pillar of strength and a devoted Christian.

Her funeral service, from a handbill made available to Stonix News by Barrister Ikimi, will begin on Friday, 13th March 2026, when her body will be received from the Central Hospital Mortuary, Sapele, at 9:00a.m.

A funeral service will be held the same day, 13th March, at 11:00a.m at God’s Kingdom Mission (GKM), formerly Olympia Cinema, Sapele.

Entertainment of guests will follow from 1:00p.m at the same venue.

A memorial and thanksgiving service will take place Saturday 14th March, 2026, at 9:00a.m also at GKM.

Mr Ezra Ikimi signed the announcement on behalf of the children, while Mr Joshua Eyesonetan signed for the family.

The families have cordially invited well-wishers, friends and associates to join them in paying their last respects.
