OSUN DECIDES: Lagos NSCDC Deploys Massive Personnel, Operational Assets Ahead of Election

THE Lagos State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has deployed substantial human and operational assets to Osun State ahead of Saturday’s governorship election, scheduled for 15th August 2026.

The deployment, carried out earlier today, Monday, 10th August 2026, was overseen by the Lagos State Commandant, Mr Adedotun Sunday Keshinro, fnarc, who charged the personnel to remain professional, disciplined, vigilant and committed to maintaining peace throughout the electoral process.

In a stern address to the officers and men, Commandant Keshinro emphasised the importance of protecting critical national assets and infrastructure, urging them to uphold the Corps’ mandate while respecting the rights of citizens.

He further directed the personnel to work collaboratively with other security agencies to prevent vandalism, safeguard critical infrastructure and ensure a peaceful electoral environment across Osun State.

Prior to the deployment, the Lagos State Commandant offered prayers for the safety of the personnel and the success of the operation, urging them to remain focused and demonstrate the highest standards of integrity and professionalism throughout their tour of duty.

The Lagos NSCDC Command has assured the public of its unwavering commitment to supporting a peaceful, secure and credible electoral process in Osun State.

The development comes just days before the highly anticipated governorship poll, with security agencies across the country ramping up preparations to ensure a seamless and violence-free exercise.
