SENATOR Francis Fadahunsi who represents Osun East Senatorial district, has honoured the invitation of the Osun state police command over his now-viral comment to ‘kill Accord’ members.
Fadahunsi arrived at the Osun police headquarters in Osogbo, the state capital, around 2pm on Wednesday, August 12.
While speaking to his APC supporters ahead of this Saturday’s governorship election in the state, Fadahunsi asked his party members to “kill” members of the rival Accord Party if seen during the electoral process in some parts of the state.
“From now on, whenever you see Accord members, kill them. I authorise you to kill them. They have wives and children too,” Fadahunsi had said.
The video of the remark has since elicited outrage on social media.
Fadahunsi has since denied the claim. He says his comment was taken out of context and that the video being circulated is AI-generated.
