I was at Agbara Nla Fiesta, a programme organised by Mount Zion Faith Ministries ahead of the Premier of the legendary Agbara Nla (The Return) movies across cinemas in Nigeria and abroad.
In the course of the fiesta, a young lady walked to me and asked if my name was ‘Aunty Shade’ and I said ‘No’. She said I looked like her teacher in primary school. I smiled at her and told her I was not Aunty Shade, but I still greeted her warmly.
She left.
About two hours later, she came back with another young lady. The lady smiled at me and told me she remembered where she knew me. I taught her when she was in JSS 2.
When she mentioned the name of the school, I agreed. That was where I worked as an NPower volunteer for three years.
As a teacher, you can meet your students anywhere: banking halls, worship centres, markets, etc.
You don’t know when someone will walk up to you and introduce themselves as your student.
Just make sure you live right always because you don’t know who is watching you.
Your students might just be in that gathering where you assume nobody knows you.
