FORMER Nigeria international footballer and Brentford Football Club legend, Sam Sodje, has been appointed Nigeria country representative by Brooke House College, a United Kingdom-based educational institution with an established football academy for young and aspiring players.
The appointment is expected to strengthen the presence of Brooke House College in Nigeria while providing Nigerian parents and young footballers with easier access to information and guidance about the college’s educational and sporting programmes.

Brooke House College offers a British curriculum alongside football development programmes designed for young players seeking to combine formal education with structured football training.
Sodje, who has continued to advocate for the importance of education among young footballers, is expected to use his new position to promote the college and guide prospective students and their parents through the available educational and sporting pathways.
A major focus of Sodje’s advocacy has been the need for young footballers to prepare for life beyond their playing careers.
Sam Sodje Appointed Nigeria Representative of UK’s Brooke House College
According to the philosophy behind his “Life After Sports” initiative, aspiring professional footballers should recognise that a sporting career may be relatively short and that professional success is not guaranteed.
Consequently, young athletes are encouraged to build strong educational foundations that can support them during and after their sporting careers.
It is in this regard that Brooke House College is being presented as an avenue through which young footballers can pursue formal education while developing their footballing abilities in the United Kingdom.

The college’s partnership with Sodje is also expected to provide Nigerian families with a point of contact who understands both the football and educational dimensions of the pathway available to prospective students.
Sodje holds a recognised UK Knowledge Agent and Counsellor Training Certificate, which qualifies him to serve as an agent and counsellor.

His training is expected to assist him in providing guidance to prospective students and their families as they consider educational and sporting opportunities.
Through his new role, Sodje is expected to promote Brooke House College across Nigeria and help prospective students make informed decisions concerning their educational and sporting aspirations.
The appointment also aligns with Sodje’s wider efforts to encourage educational empowerment among young footballers through his “Life After Sports” initiative, which seeks to promote preparation for life beyond professional sport.
Brooke House College expressed confidence that Sodje’s experience in football, combined with his interest in education and youth development, would help strengthen the institution’s engagement with Nigerian families and aspiring footballers.
The appointment marks another development in Sodje’s post-playing career as he continues to combine his football experience with initiatives focused on education, youth development and preparation for life after professional sport.

Nigerian parents and young footballers interested in exploring the educational and football opportunities available through Brooke House College can now look to Sodje’s representation as a channel for guidance and information about the institution’s programmes.
